I was informed by means of a very courteous note from an individual who was not at all required to do so that my comics have been quietly stolen and (badly) edited for use in an online RPG by the name of Torn City. Apparently you can submit comics to the game's paper and you get fifty points for each one. Bless my soul, at least they're being put to good use once they're stolen.

And would you like to know what innovative and unusual name they decided to change the name of my comics to? 'misery_guy'. Clever, eh?

Needless to say, I am somewhat agitated at this infringement upon my rights as an artist. I am very open about sharing my work; all of the avatars and other resources I've made are openly available for free download and use anywhere, and I've happily told this to anyone who was willing to ask. This individual, however, did not ask. They took.

I was pleasantly surprised to be notified about the situation; I'm sure that the person who informed me had to go out of their way to do so, and it encourages me to have some small faith that there are still good people out there doing good things.

SO!

If you have been stealing my work, or are planning on stealing it in the future, I am extending to you a grace period right now, that will be subject to end whenever I feel like. Come and talk to me about it, and you may find me to be very accommodating. If I find out later that you stole it maliciously without notifying me, I will bring down the terror of my internet cult upon your sorry head. There will be banning. There will be flame wars. There will be poorly-grammar-ed threats written to you by angry noobs.

There will be vengeance.
